A second controller mod for the Atari 5200. This part (part 1) I'll be going over all the parts needed for the controller and adapter. I'll be using a PS1/PSOne/PS2 controller for the dual analog thumb sticks. This will be for the 5200 games Robotron 2084 & Space Dungeon. It will also work in a similar fashion to the 7800 version of Robotron 2084. And can be used on any Atari 2600, 7800 games as well as on the Atari 8-bit systems. The 8-bit Lab Rat Online guide: www94.pair.com Parts/Materials that I'm using: ---For the Controller--- -Sony PSOne/PS1/PS2 controller -2x small printed circuit boards -2x (5K, 10K, 100K) micro potentiometers -2x LM339 IC's (Quad Comparators) -1x Parallel Printer cable -Various old IDE Ribbon cables for wiring -220 Ohm Resistor -Also good to get a big bag of assorted Resistors -8x 250K Resistors & 6x 500K Resistors -3x DB 25 Female Connector with wires -Permanent Marker -Notepad ----For The Adapter---- -4x 4052 IC's (8-To-2 Analog Switch) -A Plastic Enclosure (project box) -Various Connectors; DB9 male, DB 25 female, DB 15 extension cables (has both male & female ends) -10K Resistor
